This structure gives the poplin fabric a silky sheen, as the numerous warp floats and smooth surface allow for better light reflection. It is durable and has a smooth feel. The fabric undergoes a sanding process, using cellulase washing to gently and evenly polish the surface. This sanding removes some fibers, causing diffused light reflection and creating an extremely fine fuzz on the otherwise smooth poplin surface, making it softer, richer, and more skin-friendly. Large pieces of leather are precisely cut into thin strips of uniform width and even edges using a laser cutting machine. The uniformity of each strip is fundamental to a perfect weave. This process, usually done by experienced craftsmen, is the soul of Intrecciato. The strips are then fixed to a frame or specific position on a jacket panel. On the vest, these woven leather components, such as trim, stripes, or the entire front panel, are skillfully sewn together with the main fabric of suede poplin to form a complete and three-dimensional decorative structure.
