The combination of the brand logo and the circular "520" in the square stamp on the chest is not a simple holiday symbol. Margiela has always regarded numbers as brand codes. This time, the two new numbers "5" and "20" are used for the first time, pointing directly to the narrative of "every love is unique". The uneven distressing effect of the imitation stamp is the rough texture deliberately retained through deconstruction techniques, weakening the traces of industrial assembly lines, giving the T-shirt a handmade warmth and time precipitation. The iconic four-corner white seam mark on the back of the neck originated from the 1997 spring and summer series. It was originally a declaration of anti-logoism, and now it has evolved into a visual identity symbol, implying the design gene of "exposed internal structure" of clothing
The fabric is made of Xinjiang long-staple cotton plain weave. The 32-count yarn density balances breathability and stiffness. The upper body is light and not close-fitting, and it remains dry in the hot and humid environment in summer . The fabric has been washed and has a slightly waxy and bony feel at first touch. It will become softer and skin-friendly as you wear it, avoiding the "awkward stiffness period" of new cotton. The high fiber strength ensures that it is not easy to become loose after multiple washings, and the plain weave also reduces the probability of pilling. The slightly wide box-shaped cut avoids the feeling of sloppiness through the details of slightly dropped shoulder lines and tightened armholes. The length of the back just covers the waistline, and the hem naturally drapes to form a relaxed three-dimensional space. Continuing the brand's "redundancy removal" concept, the seams use a flat lock-edge process to reduce the bulge of friction on the skin and enhance the comfort of close-fitting wear, while maintaining the extensibility of the fabric. Paired with jacquard shorts, the "wide on top and loose on the bottom" ratio creates a lazy street style.
