The Alhambra series was born in 1968. The unique four-leaf clover pattern is derived from the brick wall pattern of the Alhambra Palace in Spain. This amulet-like totem has gradually expanded from the early long necklace to earrings, finger rings, jewelry watches and other designs, expressing good meanings such as luck, health, wealth, and love, becoming the most representative design of Van Cleef & Arpels.
The new work uses rhodonite as the main stone. This is a silicate mineral that presents a romantic and dreamy pink tone due to the manganese element. The name means rose in Greek, so it is also called rose stone.
This pendant continues the shape of a four-leaf clover, using rhodonite to be custom-cut into rounded petals, embellished with a round diamond pistil; the double-layer hand-made gold beads outline the frame, inspired by the traditional metal bead craft.
